Seriousness of the Problem?

In 2002 there were over 66,000 children registered as missing with the R.C.M.P. Missing Childrens Registry in Ottawa.

In 2002 there wereover 19,000 children registered missing from British Columbia.

The greatest number of these children run away from home and return within 48 hours. There are no words to describe the anguish for the parents of those children who don't.

75 British Columbia children were kidnapped by one of their parents, usually in the heat of a divorce or custody battle.

In 2002 there were 8 British Columbia children who went missing as a result of kidnapping or foul play.*
